Florida Woman Takes Over Midlife Magic. Authorities Are Baffled.

Oct 28, 2026 | Wild Adventures

FLORIDA — Authorities are investigating the mysterious disappearance of Jen Wittman, a midlife reinvention coach and founder of Midlife Magic, after neighbors reported suspicious activity at the company’s headquarters earlier this week.

According to witnesses, an unidentified woman in her mid-fifties was seen entering the building carrying an oversized handbag, an iced coffee, and what appeared to be an XXL bag of snacks.

She did not appear to have an appointment.

“At first, I thought she was a client,” said one neighbor. “But then she started bringing in furniture, taking things off the walls, and yelling something about the color teal being a crime against humanity.”

By Wednesday afternoon, the Midlife Magic sign had been removed, several delivery trucks had arrived, and the woman had reportedly informed a confused FedEx driver that she was now in charge.

Concerned neighbors contacted police after noticing that Wittman had not been seen for several days.

When officers arrived, they found the unidentified woman sitting comfortably behind Wittman’s desk, eating a PBJ sandwich with potato chips stuffed inside and reviewing what appeared to be the company’s financial records.

She introduced herself as Tammy.

“Look, I don’t know where Jen went,” Tammy told officers. “But there were all these women banging on the door trying to get into her Reset program, and nobody was answering. So I figured somebody ought to do something before they broke a window.”

When asked whether she had permission to take over the business, Tammy appeared confused by the question.

“Permission? Honey, the woman clearly needed help. Have you SEEN her website? Boring AF.”

Tammy then reportedly escorted officers to a computer and began scrolling through Midlife Magic’s homepage.

“The teal color scheme? I mean, seriously. Is this for coaching support or a colonoscopy clinic?”

She was equally unimpressed by Wittman’s professional biography.

“Twenty-plus years coaching women. Blah, blah, blah. We get it. She can help. But where’s the pizzazz? Where’s the FUN?”

According to the police report, Tammy spent the next seventeen minutes explaining her concerns about the company’s marketing strategy while officers attempted to determine whether a crime had been committed.

No charges have been filed.

Missing Coach’s Business Appears to Be Thriving

Despite Wittman’s unexplained absence, business operations appear to be continuing under Tammy’s supervision.

The company’s website has been redirected to a new address, TammyTakesOver.com, where the mysterious woman has introduced herself as a wife, mother of two, and “surprisingly brilliant midlife guru.”

She has also announced plans to take over the company’s Substack publication.

“I was reading some of Jen’s articles about hormones and stress and exhaustion and grief, and I thought, Jesus Christ, does anybody around here ever have a good time?”

Tammy insists she has enormous respect for Wittman’s work.

“Of course I do! The woman’s been helping other women change their lives for over twenty years. She’s obviously very good at it. But somebody needs to remind these women how much fun they can still have. For God’s sake, we’re in midlife, not a nursing home!”

Asked what qualifications she possesses to run a midlife reinvention company, Tammy replied, “I’m 55, I’ve raised two children, I’ve been married long enough to know when to pretend I didn’t hear something, and I’ve survived menopause without ending up on the evening news. Well, mostly.”

She then offered the interviewing reporter half of her sandwich.

Authorities Question Woman’s Long-Term Plans

Tammy says she intends to remain in charge for at least a month, although she has reportedly made no attempt to contact Wittman or establish the legal basis for her new position.

She has, however, developed a surprisingly clear vision for the company.

“Look, midlife is a lot. Your body changes, your relationships change, your priorities change. Some days you don’t even recognize the woman staring back at you in the mirror. But you know what? All that change means we get to figure out who we want to be NOW. We can try new things, go new places, make a few mistakes, and have a hell of a good time doing it.”

She paused to take another bite of her sandwich.

“And frankly, I think we’ve spent enough time worrying about everybody else’s happiness. Don’t you?”

Investigators declined to comment on whether they found her argument persuasive.

Free Workshop Announced Amid Ongoing Investigation

In an unexpected development, Tammy has announced that she will be hosting a free workshop called Stop Doing Everything for Everyone, where she plans to share three shifts to help women make more room in their lives for themselves and the things they actually enjoy doing.

Authorities have not determined whether the workshop was part of Wittman’s original business plan or something Tammy invented after finding the office printer.

Tammy insists the event will proceed as scheduled.

“Of course it will. These women have been taking care of everybody else for decades. Somebody’s got to help them have a little fun.”

When asked whether Wittman would be returning to lead Midlife Magic, Tammy shrugged.

“Your guess is as good as mine, honey. Last I heard, she was enjoying sunsets somewhere in Portugal. Personally, I think she’s milking this whole disappearance thing.”

Police have since confirmed that Wittman is believed to be safe, although her exact whereabouts remain unclear.

Tammy, meanwhile, has changed the locks, ordered new stationery, and begun referring to herself as the company’s Chief Executive of Having a Damn Good Time.

Her attorney has reportedly advised against using that title.

This is a developing story.
